Greetings to all Alumni, Businesses, Families and other organizations connected to Payson High School (PHS). The Mali Rising Foundation (MRF) is excited to join with PHS in providing the children of Sanankoroba with the opportunity to go to school in their own village. MRF is building schools in villages in the peaceful country of Mali, West Africa where such institutions are not available. MRF has developed a model whereby villagers build and maintain their own schools effectively, with the government providing paid instructors... they simply don’t have the funds to build enough schools. The Foundation provides a press from which bricks can be made and construction is performed by the benefiting villagers, using proven local techniques. All that stands in the way of thousands of young village children receiving the gift of an education is having a school close enough to walk to.
